Our educational processes at SPSV have adapted significantly due to the influence of technology and the reality of living in a global world. Today a student preparing for higher learning at a university, or even advancing into the modern workplace, needs the technological and collaborative skills that are increasingly required for success in today's society. At SPSV, we equip both faculty and students with a host of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) resources to place them at the forefront of applying tools and skill sets across curriculum, in peer to peer group work, and beyond graduation.
At the base level, all students are issued secure iPads bundled with access to the most collaborative and respected learning applications available today. However, there are many highly advanced resources for students beyond the traditional classroom and simple online access. The SPSV faculty leverage our MakerSpace, Video Production Studio and Robotics Lab to assist in the design and fabrication of products that relate to subject areas, bring a visual and hands on experience to concepts, and encourage leadership from new perspectives.
At. St. Patrick-St. Vincent Catholic High School our commitment to STEAM supports students in a way that accelerates their understanding of concepts to greater visualization and application, which ultimately drives advanced study plans and future career choices.
Our MakerSpace continues to growthanks to the generous donations of those supporting our Bruin Community, including the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael and SPSV alumni.
