Welcome Message

Welcome to St. Patrick - St. Vincent Catholic High School (SPSV)! I am excited to begin my new role as Head of School, though I have been teaching English and Spanish here for 31 years. When people ask me what makes SPSV unique, without a doubt, I always respond “the sense of community that permeates our campus.”

Our students come from over 30 different schools and live in four Bay Area counties. They come from Catholic schools, public schools, private schools, charter schools, and some were homeschooled. Most begin as freshmen, but several transfer as older students. Regardless of where they come from, they quickly become Bruins.

Our faculty and staff are a diverse crowd of talented individuals. Thirteen are alumni, 19 are parents of current or former students, and 12 have worked here 20+ years. They care about our students and work creatively to educate the whole person.

Our parents support the school through their service hours and the newly formed Parent Association for Community Engagement (PACE). They cheer for our students at athletic events, plays, and concerts.

Our alumni represent three different eras coming from three different schools: St. Vincent’s, St. Patrick’s, and St. Patrick - St. Vincent Catholic High School. This year we began a new tradition of the All School Reunion Picnic which will always take place the last Saturday in July

While every person on our campus is a unique individual, we come together to form the Bruin community where everyone is valued, respected, and welcome!
