St. Vincent & Hogan High School “ClassES” of 1966

SV and Hogan High Class of 1966 held a joint 50 year reunion on September 23-24, 2016. The reunion started Friday afternoon with a 9 hole, two ball scramble golf tournament at Blue Rock Springs hosted by the Honorable Judge R. Michael Smith, Retired, HH’66. Mike Rollins SV’66 partnered with Frank Zuppan SV’66 and somehow Mike and Frank won the event even though the best score of even par was shot by coaches Bob Mansfield VH’56 and Bob Herlocker HH’66. Go figure! Following the golf event, a mixer was held in the club house hosted by the reunion committee members: Frank Darling HH’66, Mike Rollins SV’66 and Mike Smith HH’66 with some 60 classmates, spouses and guests in attendance. The big event was held Saturday evening at the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum with a total of 119 guests in attendance. Among the guests were two honored faculty members, long time Hogan coach Bob Mansfield VH’56 and Sister Anne Dolan, OP (AKA Sister Manuela) former SV Spanish teacher.

The events included a self-guided tour of the museum followed by a no-host cocktail hour and an exceptional buffet dinner with choice of salmon, tri-tip or chicken. The dinner was provided by Vega Catering of Concord and the staff was outstanding throughout the entire evening. Jim Kern the director of the museum as well as his staff of volunteers did a beautiful job of setting up the banquet room and Jim was there during the entire event to assist us.

There was a live band playing 60's music throughout the evening and was highlighted by a performance by keyboardist Mike McFrederick HH’66 with his wife Anne doing vocals. They were followed by the lovely Yvonne Myles HH’66 with a fine rendition of some 60's classics and she still has it after all these years! Those that still could, then danced the night away. On behalf of Mike, Frank and Mike, they would like to thank all of you who attended as well as those of you who helped make the reunion such a memorable event.

SPSV Class of 2007

SPSV Class of 2007 held their 10 year reunion in August 2017 at Plank in Oakland. In the beginning everyone reconnected with each other. For most, it just picked up where they had left off years ago and for others it was just another day as a lot of the classmates still keep in touch. They ate, joked and laughed with each other and further strengthened the bond their class has cultivated over their journeys through life. They continue their communication through their Facebook page and plan to have events sooner than 10 year reunions.
