A Message from Mrs. Coleen Martin, Principal
I hope that you, along with your family and friends, remain healthy and safe these past few weeks as we face unprecedented measures across the Bay Area, the United States, and the world. I want to assure you that the entire St. Patrick-St. Vincent community is in prayer with you as we all make sense of this change in our daily life.
I am very thankful for the strong support that the SPSV community has already demonstrated by adapting to distance learning and raise up one another throughout the challenges brought forth by the coronavirus (COVID-19). It is in this moment that the SPSV community truly embraces our traditions rooted in Dominican spirituality and calls for its members to minister with love, bringing the Gospel to bear with depth and compassion on the critical issues of our times.
Due to the quickly-evolving nature of COVID-19, many of our students and their families here at SPSV have been faced with unexpected hardship. As always, we aim to prioritize our students’ safety, personal well-being, and educational experience. However, this is difficult when worries outside of our control upend the daily lives of our students, faculty, and staff. As this situation continues to progress, we remain committed to providing the entire SPSV community a sense of solace and comfort.
To that effect, St. Patrick-St. Vincent has established the Extend Your Hand - Emergency Fund. These funds will be used to support the school’s most pressing needs, giving our community the greatest flexibility to make a real impact on those affected by the virus. This includes investing in school resources for distance learning, supporting tuition for students and their families impacted by financial hardship, and other valuable resources.
As we move forward, please consider a gift to the Extend Your Hand - Emergency Fund as the SPSV community comes together to address our school’s most pressing needs. Simply visit our Donate Now page or click the link below and add “Emergency Fund” in the Comments box at the top of the form. I continue to be incredibly appreciative of the contributions our community has made and will continue to make, as we manage this ongoing situation.
For more information and the latest updates from SPSV, please check the St. Patrick-St. Vincent COVID-19 Preparation page.
During Holy Week and throughout the Easter Season, I have faith that together we can be lights for our St. Patrick-St. Vincent community and support one another through this unprecedented time. Even though we might be separated by distance, we can still come together to Extend Your Hand To Those In Need.
