Partners In Sustainability: Outdoor Amphitheater Project

Outdoor Amphitheater Project

St. Patrick-St. Vincent Catholic High School is excited to announce we are creating an intimate, outdoor amphitheater that will serve as a multi-functional space on our campus. This new amphitheater may be utilized by the entire community in various capacities:

  • Campus Ministry
  • Musical and theatrical performances
  • Outdoor classroom and experiential learning
  • Quiet space for personal reflection

In addition, the proposed garden will be incorporated across the school curriculum deepening our understanding of sustainability on our campus, our role as stewards of creation and its contributions to the greater world.

Project Status

The initial phase of this project, in partnership with Sustainable Solano, the local leader in creating sustainable community spaces, began in early 2019 and is projected for completion in Fall 2019. This timeline allows for faculty and staff to educate and introduce the project-based curriculum to students in the areas of research, design and planting. Faculty and consultants have already provided an additional project-based curriculum to students to research, design, and plantings.

Funding for this project is supported by the Order of the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, Sustainable Solano, and the Solano Community Foundation.
