Did you know that you can support SPSV just by shopping on Amazon?
Amazon Smile is a program where you can redirect 0.5% of what you spend on the Amazon website to the charity of your choice. You are not giving anything extra; you are just telling Amazon what to do with the money you've already spent.
There are just a few easy steps to follow on the Amazon mobile app:
- Check that you have the latest version of the Amazon app.
- Open the Amazon Shopping app on your device and log in.
- Go into the main menu of the Amazon Shopping app and tap into ‘Settings’.
- Tap ‘AmazonSmile’ and follow the on-screen instructions to turn Amazon Smile on.
- Enter "Diocese of Sacramento Education Welfare Corp. St. Patrick St. Vincent" as the charity you are supporting and click "Turn on AmazonSmile."
- Click "Get Started"
- Click "Next"
- Click "Turn on AmazonSmile"
There are even fewer steps on desktop:
- CLICK HERE to redirect to the Amazon Smile home page or click on the Banner in the Side Menu. Then select "Start Shopping."
- Sign in to your account.
- Once you've signed on, you should be good to go. The trick with the desktop version is this: You'll always need to go to smile.amazon.com/
Have any questions or need helping setting up Amazon Smile? Please email r.lee@spsv.org. If everyone in the Bruin Family who has an Amazon account signs up to do this, the 0.5% donation for every purchase made will add up quickly. Example: The average American spends about $1500 a year on Amazon. That would equate to a $7.50 donation to SPSV per account. If we had 300 accounts signed up, that would be $2,250 donated to SPSV. No extra cost to you; just Amazon donating back because you signed up.
